Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and its LPG brand Indane Gas are committed to providing transparent and fair refund practices to ensure customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances and procedures under which refunds may be issued.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be applicable in cases such as:

  • Cancellation of LPG cylinder bookings before delivery
  • Excess or duplicate payment made by the customer
  • Failed transactions where the amount is debited but the service is not delivered
  • Security deposit refunds upon termination or surrender of LPG connection, subject to verification

All refunds are subject to verification and approval as per Indian Oil and Government of India guidelines.

2. Cancellation of Bookings

Customers may cancel an LPG cylinder booking before delivery through authorized booking channels or by contacting the concerned Indane distributor. Once the cylinder has been delivered, cancellation and refund requests will not be entertained.

3. Mode of Refund

Approved refunds will be processed through the original mode of payment, such as bank transfer, UPI, or other electronic methods, wherever possible. In certain cases, refunds may be adjusted against future bookings or dues, as per policy.

4. Refund Processing Time

Refunds are generally processed within 7тАУ14 working days after successful verification and approval. Processing time may vary depending on the payment method, bank procedures, or operational requirements.

5. Non-Refundable Charges

Service charges, delivery charges (where applicable), and statutory taxes are generally non-refundable once the service has been provided, except where required by law.

6. Subsidy-Related Refunds

Any LPG subsidy, if applicable, is governed by Government of India policies. Indian Oil is not responsible for delays or issues related to subsidy credit once the transaction details have been correctly submitted to the concerned authorities.

7. Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute regarding refunds, customers should first contact their authorized Indane distributor with relevant transaction details. If unresolved, customers may approach Indian Oil customer support through official channels.

8. Policy Updates

Indian Oil reserves the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective upon publication on official platforms or communication through appropriate channels.
